Monica Halchishick
Monica is a dedicated and passionate strengths-based speech-language pathologist with a mission to empower individuals in finding their voice through multimodal communication.
Monica thrives on working closely with clients and their communication partners, recognizing that tailored solutions arise through shared efforts. Monica's commitment to teamwork ensures that she discovers and implements the most effective strategies for her clients' unique needs.
Monica has been working with Rachel behind the scenes since 2020 helping to get more information to more families through social media, online courses, and free resources. Since then she’s become quite savvy with online content, and has deepened her understanding of AAC, therapy techniques, and support under Rachel's guidance.
Monica has further experience providing therapy both in schools and clinics. She has experience working with a wide range of students including but not limited to those with diagnosis of autism, ADHD, and down syndrome. She has a passion for AAC and is familiar with communication apps such as Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP), Touchchat, Proloquo2Go, as well as paper-based communication systems like communication boards.
Monica holds both her bachelor's degree and master’s of science in Communicative Disorders from California State University Northridge.
